I can't believe I'm already 34 weeks…only 6 more weeks if he comes on time!! We are so excited and can't wait to meet Jackson! I already have my hospital bags packed and ready to go! :)
So I've been pretty busy the last few weeks unpacking and trying to get this house in order…I'm almost done, yay! All the big stuff is done (painting walls, chairs…etc, making a headboard, refinishing Adam's desk, giving Jack's dresser a makeover…), now it's just hanging pictures and little things like that! I'll try to post pics of the house on my next blog post.
I'm feeling pretty good these days other than the frequent trips to the bathroom (and I mean frequent) and some backaches (probably from doing too much bending over during my many projects). Jack has been moving a lot and is still getting hiccups all day long. He is especially active right before I go to sleep…sometimes I feel a knee or an elbow slide slowly all the way across my belly. And sometimes he stretches and I can see a foot poking out on one side of my belly (or at least that's what I think it is).
I finally finished Jack's room! What a relief…I was weirdly stressed about getting it done NOW…I guess it's called nesting! :)
So here's a picture of a plane shelf that I found on bookoo (sort of like Craigslist) and I painted it a light blue/green color to match the accent wall in his room. I put little trinkets on the shelves that Adam and I had gotten on some of our travels since the theme of his room is Travel.
Here's his bookshelf…still sort of a work in progress as I need to add more books and add pictures eventually to the frames. The boots were my mom's when she was little and the canvas was the one I had painted for the gender reveal.
Here's a before and after of the dresser. I got this off of Craigslist and as you can see it was very ugly! But I could see the potential and turned it into a suitcase dresser. It also doubles as the changing table!
These are the canvases I painted and put above his crib.
I've been stocking up on diapers…both sides of the closet are packed full of diapers up top!
Here's some little shirts I made…I just love how they turned out! Can't wait to put them on Jack! <3
I might use this one as his going home outfit!
Amelia's plaque is very special to us, especially since we had so many memories at this place.
It's such a quiet, peaceful place! So beautiful! We used to sit on these benches and talk for hours!
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Dail for doing this, it means a lot to us!! :)
